Vehicle History Report — Data Source Disclaimer

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Where the data comes from

Vehicle History Reports on Cars for CommBank are sold by Vyro Pty Ltd and compiled by AutoGrab Pty Ltd. AutoGrab draws the information from third-party sources, including the Personal Property Securities Register, state and territory written-off and stolen vehicle registers, and vehicle identification data.
Neither Vyro nor AutoGrab creates the underlying records. We report what those sources held at the time of the search.

What that means for accuracy

AutoGrab provides the following disclaimer for the report:
Vehicle History Reports are provided by AutoGrab as a reference tool only. AutoGrab does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information in the report, including data sourced from third parties, and accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on it. Details should be independently verified before being relied on, including for any purchase decision.
AutoGrab is Vyro's data supplier and is not a party to your purchase of the report. Vyro's own responsibility to you is set out in our Vehicle History Report Terms of Sale, and nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

The report is a snapshot

Every report shows the date and time it was generated. It is not updated after that. The most common change is a security interest being discharged once a seller pays out their loan — a report generated before that will still show the interest.

It is not a PPSR certificate in your name

The report includes the results of a PPSR search, but it is not a PPSR search certificate issued in your name. A certificate obtained in your own name may give you protections under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) that this report does not. You can obtain one directly from the PPSR at ppsr.gov.au.

Check the vehicle too

A history report tells you what is on the record. It cannot tell you the mechanical condition of a vehicle, whether it has unreported damage, or whether the price is fair. Inspect the vehicle, or have it inspected, before you buy.

Not a CommBank product

Vehicle History Reports are sold by Vyro, not by Commonwealth Bank of Australia. CommBank is not responsible for the report or for vehicle sales, car listings or advertising appearing on the platform.
